The Brooklyn DIY performance space Death By Audio has come to an end at the hands of the media giant Vice! The “counterculture” conglomerate has rented the building that houses Death By Audio and is forcing them to close their doors after 7 years as an artist run studio/gallery/show space. Now check out footage of their last night, featuring A Place To Bury Strangers & Lighting Bolt (this band has something to say to Vice)…Much respect due to our comrade unARTigNYC for capturing this historic event!…38 bands performed over the last two weeks of the space!

Err, you may have misunderstood some of the posting on this. 38 bands played the last two weeks of farewell/secret guest shows at DBA. Just 4 bands played the final show: Grooms, JEFF the brotherhood , A Place to Bury Strangers of course, and Lightning Bolt. More than 4 bands that might would have killed people, it was fairly intense.
