Death Doom

take on your fear of death with SWAMPBEAST “The Permanence of Death”

Ron Yamasaki

When you hear the name Swampbeast what image comes into your mind? Is it a writhing mammoth-sized creature steadily pursuing you to your ultimate crushing demise? Because when I hit play on the new single titled “The Permanence Of Death” from this L.A. Death Doom horde, I’m realizing I have nowhere to run because this beast is my own mind. That’s what Swampbeast had in mind when they wrote this song that could be the soundtrack to a majority of the human minds on this planet in 2020 as we’ve been watching our infallible systems fall and our inevitable hierarchies challenged. But anything spawned of fear and control and hate and oppression has foundations that are rotten to the core, no matter how many coats of white paint you throw over it – so bring on the fucking end of it, I say. And is living in fear of death by a thousand ways life at all? If you’re ready to take on your fear of death, then hit play on our stream of “The Permanence Of Death” below! And FYI it’s off their upcoming album Seven Evils Spawned of Seven Heads that comes out on February 12th, 2021, via Translation Loss Records – pre-order it here!

‘The Permanence Of Death’ lyrically leans more towards a view of the unknown in relation to death. Being so hyper focused on the idea of it, that it brings you into a state of psychosis. The mind taking us to these unknown territories – we shouldn’t go too deep into the thoughts of possible realities.
