Where Pain Meets Pleasure: SUNDR “I’ve Forgotten How To Be Alone”

SUNDR knows how to raise the hairs on the back of my neck. As soon as I hit play on their video for “I’ve Forgotten How To Be Alone,” the gorgeously suffocating atmosphere they create takes over my being. They’re able to take sound and shape it into something both comforting and unnerving at the same time. SUNDR taps into the space where pain meets pleasure. The track is off their forthcoming album Solar Ships, out via Crucible on September 18th, and pre-orders go live August 14th right here. Today we’re honored to be sharing the video for “I’ve Forgotten How To Be Alone” with you – hit play and then take this time to go within and hear your inner voices.

A love; erroneous, shrouded in dirt. Blood runs gold, return to earth. Digging the wound, pulling the nerve, breathing through ash, fathom the hurt. Wretched empath I am. Cultivating these losses and truths. Withering flora, revel in numb abandon. Experience love through this lens. Callous and claw forward, on silent entropy and fractured nail. Void in the eye, wound in the palm. Hold. Sit with it. If I can meditate to the grinding of teeth. Drained of all colour, the walls askew. Pacing, I’ve forgotten how to be alone.

Filmed and recorded at WICK STUDIOS in Brunswick Melbourne in 8 hours. SUNDR were captured by director Wilson Bambrick, cinematographer Eugene Perepletchikov and producer Mike Deslandes.
