The older I get, as I travel my Mother years and get closer to my Crone years, the witchier I feel. It’s not a pentagram-and-cloak kind of witchiness, but an inner flame that’s become a bonfire, a knowing that I carry profound depths of power over life and death in my womb, my bones, and my blood. I’ve learned to harness and respect my energetic field, and to direct it at will for good or for vengeance, and I’m confident in my abilities to nurture and destroy. And I feel all this as I listen to the new single from SPACE QUEEN called “Incantation.” This song feels like a spell being cast to raise up the meek of the earth, the ones who’ve been told their entire lives to be kind and quiet, to bury their rage and beg for love. Pretty sure that bullshit conditioning is being broken and thrown out every second that humanity marches into the future.
