I keep hitting repeat on PLOHO‘s new video for “Не будем прощаться” (“We won’t say goodbye”) because their sound is so damn addictive! They’re known as some of the forerunners of the Russian Doomer genre, a nihilistic blend of post-punk, new wave, and rock with a pessimistic post-Soviet flavor. Whatever it is, it makes me want to wander on rainy concrete and contemplate my existence and dance like the plague skeletons. Artoffact Records is releasing their new album Когда душа спит (When the soul sleeps) on November 4th — follow them on Spotify and pre-order it here. Today we’re sharing their video for “Не будем прощаться,” so enjoy this bitter taste of uplifting melancholy!
