As much as I love life, the past few months have been hard, and we’ve had to overcome one obstacle after another. Watching CVLT Nation’s hometown of Los Angeles burn really hurts, and it’s made us nostalgic about the vibrant, sleazy beauty of a city that’s shared more music and culture with the world than most places on this planet. So today I’m stoked to share some bubbly, riff-tastic grunge that could only be from L.A.! It’s the new single from NIIS (“nice”) called “Low Life,” their debut on their new record label Get Better Records! It’s off their new record Niis World coming out March 28th — pre-order it here. “Low Life” is poolside grunge — it’s got that melancholy, pessimistic edge but it’s also got hints of surf rock and makes you want to look good while you sneer at the world. This song channels L.A.’s unique blend of glamorous grime that I’ve never quite experienced anywhere else. NIIS is heading out on tour in April and May so check those dates below.
