NEW Chelsea Wolfe ABYSS Track “Carrion Flowers” + Tour Dates!

The always incredible CHELSEA WOLFE has just released a track from her forthcoming album on Sargent House, Abyss, entitled “Carrion Flowers,” and it is as moving as you anticipate it to be. Once again, Chelsea’s signature sound is evolving, and this track carries more industrial elements than her previous outputs, but her vocals float above a morass of bass like a steel butterfly, causing kinetic ripples down your spine. When Abyss hits the streets on August 7th, Wolfe will be embarking on a huge North American tour alongside labelmate Wovenhand, so make sure you check the dates below. Listen to “Carrion Flowers” below, and pre-order it here!

An improvement over her first song released for this album. It’s like there are 2 Chelsea Wolfes but they release on the same albums. There is the industrial one, with tracks like this, Feral Love, and House of Metal and one that uses a lot of guitar and acoustic like Iron Moon and We Hit a Wall… and that inconsistency REALLY damages the flow of the albums. They don’t mesh well at all and I think she should just scrap the acoustic work, if Pain Is Beauty was edited down to 8 tracks from it’s 12 it would be a lot better as a whole for instance. Albums are only as strong as their weakest link.
