A Must See Documentary: The Story Of Youth Brigade and BYO Records Now Showing

Last night I watched the killer documentary Let Them Know The Story Of Youth Brigade and BYO Records, and I’ve got to say it is one of my favorite films dealing with that era of punk! One thing is that it is full of rare footage of all kinds dating back to the 80’s. They really were more than just a band, because the Stern brothers were leaders in their own right. L.A. punks owe a lot to Youth Brigade and BYO, which becomes crystal clear when you watch this documentary. It’s a great historical piece and it reminded me of how huge the SoCal scene was and that had a mammoth influence on the global punk scene. If you are a fan of 80’s hardcore this is a must see, because you get an up close look at the invisible history of L.A. underground.
