Slow-moving, grim, slow-moving dirge, slow, slow-moving sonic atmosphere are the things that come to mind as I listen to Mission to the Sun’s new album Seven Years. I can’t I love this band enough, because it reminds me of immersing myself in the mind of Joy Division while high/low on lean. This band does not create Post Punk, they deconstruct Post Punk only to manifest an unearthly sound that is just coming down to earth! I feel so honored that Felte Records has given us the honor of sharing with you the new Mission to the Sun visual “Dead Friends” below. I want both the band and the label to know that this record is beyond moving!
The video explores themes of blue collar gnosticism; a lifetime of servitude, where the bondage of work becomes the way towards self-actualization.
