Jaw-dropping Jackets! Metal Jacket Paintings

Gear is an incredibly important part of a metal lifestyle. Of course, you can be into metal and be all short hair don’t care low key plain tee, but you know your head turns when you see a really sick jacket or vest, one which has clearly had some time and effort put into it. I have painted a couple of jackets, and it’s a time-consuming but fulfilling process – but I understand that many people can’t or wouldn’t know where to start with such a task. But there are artists out there who specialize in turning your leather jacket into something awe-inspiring. Enter Metal Jacket Paintings. This German artist creates hand-painted leather jackets that I can only describe as perfect. MJP is able to take some of metal’s most iconic imagery and hand paint it with markers onto jackets in a way that’s truly jaw-dropping. I can imagine that in person these jackets radiate the time and attention that was taken to imbue them with the spirit of the bands they portray.
