Hospital Gown‘s music really spans genres in a way that I haven’t heard since the early 2000s. It’s pop electronic noise industrial trip hop new wave and that description doesn’t even really cover it. Songwriter/producer Rich Loren Balling (The Sound of Animals Fighting, Pyramids) creates crazy soundscapes that I want to dive into and drown in. Their debut LP Diamond Life 2 comes out via Born Losers Records on November 18th — pre-order it here and stream it here. The title track “Diamond Life 2 [Ca$h Ironic]” features Dallas rapper Lord Byron and has an eerie science fiction sound with a dreamy melody set to a deliciously heavy beat.
