The next chapter of infamous Portland Discharge enthusiasts, Dödläge, just dropped a smouldering pile of nihilistic, fast-as-fuck hardcore. Sixteen pissed and political songs clocking in at just under twenty-five minutes give you satisfaction the way hardcore was meant to be: short and to the point. While some tracks hastily cling to the presumptive elements of D-beat, others are reminiscent of Napalm Death’s noisier apocalyptic dirges.
