Tonight I’m gonna slide into my favorite pair of Freak Genes and dance to the new video from Freak Genes for “Clear in the Night”! It’s off their record Delirk that’s out now via Feel It Records and you can get it here. This song is infectious like a computer virus and catchy like the flu, all pumping beats and staticky synths. Their sound brings in noise, punk, industrial, hip hop, EBM, and everything in between, and the final concoction sounds like the future’s idea of the 1980s. With Delirk, Freak Genes has created a record that could keep the dance floor packed all night at some weirdo afterhours club in 2050, when we’ve given up on everything virtual and gone back to the real world sweat and smells of the evening.
