Body modification is increasingly popular with younger generations, so the joke of how grotesque tattooed grandparents will be isn’t really a thing like it was when I was a teenager. I think tattooed grandparents are cool. I’ll be one. The body is a canvas, whether we decorate it with clothing, ink, silicone, or metal. Some people take their body modification to the extreme, becoming walking artwork, tattooed from their eyeballs to their toes, pierced and stretched and scarred. Personally, I can’t imagine allowing someone to put needles anywhere near my eyes, but not everyone has a thing about keeping their eyes away from sharp things.
