In a short two years, L.A.’s DILDOX has carved out a shrine for their intense, primal, and electrifying presence. Marked by wild live shows with pulsing crowd provocation and the hard-earned sweat of their acolytes, they’ve managed to keep the party going in the industrial dance underground and with several singles, remixes, and an EP under their belt, this diabolic duo is just getting started. Today they’re unveiling their latest release Bound To Submit and the accompanying debut music video ‘Devilish’ for our carnal pleasure.
Directed by Jane Slater & Glen Jennings and featuring a talented cast of succubi dancers, the video features a satanic incarnation of Sophie commanding her throngs of demons and lost souls. The EP features three originals and three remixes from the likes of mainstays Blood Handsome, MMDA, and Healng exploring the complex relationship between our primal instincts and the confines of modern society.
Primal Urge is more than just a depiction of a caveman’s life—it’s a reflection on the cyclical nature of survival and evolution. The EP explores the striking paradox: despite all our technological and societal advances, we’re still driven by the same fundamental survival instincts as our primitive ancestors. Bound To Submit confronts the reality that, no matter how far we’ve come, those primal urges remain deeply embedded in us. It’s a reminder that, in the end, we might not be so different from those who came before us. Our future, like theirs, is uncertain, and we’re left questioning whether we, too, are bound to submit to these primal forces or face extinction in this industrialized world.
