Conversations In Isolation Episode 3: with Leila Abdul-Rauf from VASTUM

 Interview from J. Donovan Malley

I had a chance to talk with the incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Leila Abdul-Rauf recently. Many people know her from her work as guitarist and vocalist in Vastum. Leila has also created a number of haunting solo releases (see the links below) and participates in a number of additional projects/bands, including Ionophore, Fyrhtu, Terebellum and Hammers of Misfortune. During the conversation we touch on Covid-19, the role of the artist in our current world, and recording frogs…amongst other topics.
