Witness the Sorrowful Shoegaze from CIRCUS TREES “Wasted Air”

If I could pick one seed in my life that CVLT Nation has allowed to flourish, it’s the appreciation for the talent and ideas that are constantly springing up in younger generations. Far from being those old heads who miss the days when everything was *more punk, less chicks, more centered around me and my fake resistance of the status quo*, Sean and I are constantly inspired and excited by what we see happening in the generations coming up in underground music. So when we heard the new album from Circus Trees, Delusions, we knew it belonged on these pages! This young band made up of three teenaged sisters has me thinking about riot grrls playing shoegaze and their sound has such clarity it tears at my soul and bares my sorrows. There’s a heaviness underlying the fuzzy, melodic tones that pulls my shadow side to the surface and forces me to look at it. Today we’re excited to be sharing their video for “Wasted Air” below! It’s a track off the new album that comes out August 14th via Five By Two – pre-order it here. Circus Trees – if you find yourself playing a show up in Vancouver, BC, my daughters will be there with me.
