Hot damn, I’m late to the game, but I’m here to right my wrongs! Unholy hell yes, BLIND GIRLS 2024 album An Exit Exists that came out via Persistent Vision, Secret Voice, and Life Lair Regret is beyond SICK AF! I can’t get enough of their angular, off-kilter, emotive Screamo, which is full of breathtaking moments. This is the kind of music will have you saying to yourself that the world is fucked, but there might be some hope. The anguish that I hear from the vocalist reminds me of modern-day Emo Blues. BLIND GIRLS hits those chords makes you think about sunsets, then they flip the script and bash you over the head with pure unhinged urgency! Imagine if the Blood Brothers, Sunny Day Real Estate, Yaphet Kotto, At the Drive-In, and Jesus Piece came together to create an LP — An Exit Exists might be the outcome.
BLIND GIRLS songs remind me of life itself, because our existence is full of ebbs and flows. I want this band to know that not only do I hear them, I feel them.
