It’s a beautiful day, and I don’t mind going in circles on days like this. The older I get, the more introspective I get about my routine, and the more realistic I get about the many years I spent chasing highs and lows and excitement that never quite seemed to satisfy. So listening to the upbeat new wave anthem from ARTIFICIAL GO, “Circles,” has me reflecting on how we’ve created so much comfort and safety for ourselves we subconsciously yearn for the days of exploring out of necessity and fighting for survival. “Circles” is the kind of song you have to jump around to, and I hope when they perform it live there’s some kind of playful version of a circle pit, where people are chasing their tails in joy. That’s the energy we need more of right now. “Circles” is the first single off their record Musical Chairs via Feel It Records on May 16 — get it here. They’re playing the Feel It Records shop’s one year anniversary on April 24th in Cincinnati, OH, and then spends May and June touring America — check the dates below.
