“To suffer makes us human, and to release that suffering makes us more.” This is what inspired CATHARI to create their new album Corporeality – an ode to grief and suffering. I feel that inspiration when I’m listening to the track we’re premiering today, “Cold Lips.” I’ve looked death in the face, and it’s an experience that left me with an understanding that while death makes us all corpses, it’s the living who see us out of this world that live with its consequences. It’s a beautiful, melodic, funereal song that speaks to my grief intimately. And as I’ve said many times before, music opens a portal to grief in order to release it, so I want to thank Cathari for creating music for that exact purpose. Seeing Red Records will be releasing Corporeality on September 27th, 2019, and you can pre-order it right here. Right now, press play on this melancholy audio trip, and let your grief wash over and out of you just for a few minutes…
